WHAT's NEW
(untitled)

By Anna Little Bird Huff

The ocean, at Sea Street Beach-
that delicate, strong sea
where first I directly
fused with the Source,
the Divine: the Deepness:
that sparkling sea-lady
at midwinter just past
midnight-
that shimmering
church of the wildness-
the spark in me reached to
touch the Spark of Her
there in the darkness
the moonlight rippling
the water stretching
out slowly
to touch eternity. There She is!
for an instant only.
That night the Lady came to welcome me.
I saw Her in the waves.
I have seen what Siddhartha saw,
dancing there in the lotus blossom.
