Act 20
By Rebecca Woods
All the drama trapped inside my mind,
Erupts like tears and I am unkind
To you.
You were leaving anyway, weren't you?
You were heading out the door.
Icicles hang from my eyelids.
I respond to you no more.
All the drama swirling in my head
Escapes like breath from newly dead
And I hate you.
It was better this way, in the meantime
I'll prepare our separate beds.
My new room is freezing,
But this is where you wanted me.
Drama seething swirling 'round
Rages out to the pathetic sound
Of your question: Why?
Leave me. Leave me. Leave me be.
You'll never get it. You'll never see.
You were always leaving and I knew it.
What is green must turn to brown of shit.
I was only getting ready.
All the drama, churning boiling…
What else could I do?
Sorry it's offensive,
But it's all due to you.
